Eric Folino
Life can be a blur, and with Eric Folino's around it's about to get a whole lot blurrier. With poetic lyrics and sounds that embody a distinct musical texture, Eric Folino is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Toronto, Ontario, Canada with a story to tell; the chapters of which follow a sequence of recognized growth.
Eric picked up the electric guitar at the age of 7 and transitioned to the classical guitar at the age of 14. It was the classical strings that stoked his passion for music. His songs, while having an indie/pop-rock vibe are played on nylon strings, evoking a unique musical temperament.
Eric recorded his first LP “Hours for the Taking” in 2024. The eleven song album embodies the concept of change; grappling with it, and using it as a catalyst for self empowerment. The bulk of the project was recorded with Oakville producer Lucas DiMascio. Toronto producer Thomas McKay produced the album’s pinnacle song “The World Began this Morning”- an emotionally powerful track made complete with drums by Canadian percussion guru Davide Direnzo and the unique sounds dreamt up by Eric and Thom in the studio.
With numerous sold out shows at Oakville’s iconic music house “The Moonshine Cafe”, Eric continues to play at venues throughout the GTA. Eric is currently studying materials science at the University of Waterloo while working on his second album which is due for release in 2025.
